La Redoute – Be a Brand Ambassador | Big Society Girl

The lovely people at La Redoute contacted me a couple of weeks ago with an incredible opportunity. They offered me the chance to enter a competition to become a brand ambassador! The competition is to celebrate the launch of their new French Style Guide which demonstrates how to create the perfect French elegance everybody loves and reveals the secrets to French style. To enter, all I have to do is share my favourite style tip!

The two winners will be sent on an amazing VIP weekend trip to Paris, be a part of the La Redoute feature in Grazia magazine and attend a sneak peak behind the scenes at the making of a fashion advertorial. These are just a few of the fabulous prizes which will be awarded to two special bloggers, not to mention a £100 monthly allowance to spend on clothes for the lucky brand ambassadors, fingers crossed!

My style tip is all about accessories. You can make any outfit acceptable for day or night just by the accessories you wear. I’ve chosen a simple outfit to style which is every girls favourite – the Little Black Dress, or LBD as it’s more widely known. Featuring in La Redoute’s French Style Guide, along with 6 other French fashion staples, there is a perfect quote to describe the LBD from Chanel designer, Karl Lagerfield:

This fits perfectly with my style tip, thanks Karl! It’s really easy to dress an outfit up you’ve worn in the day for work for example. Styling like this helps take the nightmare of going home, spending FAR too long choosing an outfit, getting ready and going out away. Nobody wants to look like they’re ready for a party when you’re slogging your guts out at work, so here is the same dress, with different accessories, for two different times of day!

I have chosen this lovely dress from La Redoute. It comes with a patent belt which is perfect for work, but for a slightly more stylish look I paired it with a La Redoute black plaited belt and some silver diamanté drop earrings. With its high neck and long sleeves, a belt is perfect for breaking up the black and accentuating your figure. If belts aren’t your preference, it could also be teamed with a long necklace to add a different element to the dress. Now it’s Spring the tights can be put back in the drawer till Winter! I went with silver and black accessories to keep it simple and smart. La Redoute have a great range of accessories, and this beautiful leather bag is perfect for work and the tassel detail compliments the outfit. I kept the shoes simple with some slip on flats, again, from La Redoute which are bang on trend. The white strip across the top adds a bright flash and matches nicely with the earrings. A simple, sophisticated LBD look for work!

Gold is a little bit more glam and less subtle than silver, which is great for a night out, or a date night after work. If you chose to keep the tights, they would have to go, which would allow for some swanky heels. These ASOS heeled sandals suit this dress, open-toe sandals should always be worn with a dress that has long sleeves to elongate the legs. A clutch bag is a must, for you only need your purse and lipstick when you’re off out after a hard day’s work! I picked this Warehouse one with simple gold detail across the middle. Keeping with the Spring season, this pretty La Redoute gold belt with honeybees makes a great focal point for the dress, paired with some ASOS gold flower earrings, the outfit is complete!

I hope this shows how you can wear one dress but change it up just by choosing different accessories, it’s something I do a lot and I find it’s a style tip that really works when I’m strapped for time!

I’d love to know what you think, and what your style tips are! Let me know in the comments below or Tweet me @bigsocietygirl!
